Will News Anchor work with Mac OS X 10.7 “Lion”?

Yes, News Anchor is tested and ready for Mac OS X Lion (version 10.7). In addition News Anchor will work just fine in Mac OS X “Snow Leopard” (version 10.6.6 or later).

I want to feature News Anchor in my computer store.  Can you issue a demo license for me?

Sure, if you an Apple employee or you are an employee of a computer store that also sell Macintoshes, just ask us for an NFR license. You’ll need an e-mail that ends with @apple.com or has the domain name of an Apple authorized reseller.

I’m a member of the press, and want to review News Anchor for my website. Do you have something for me?

You can find News Anchor high-resolution screenshots, icons, and other tidbits at our Press Information page. If you want a license for review purposes, just ask us.

I have already purchased News Anchor but the App Store doesn’t show that I already have it.

This is to prevent the App Store from overwriting your copy of News Anchor. Technically, the bundle identifiers are different and this is needed since the two versions use different ways to verify your license.

Is the Mac App Store version different from the version I can download from your site?

Both versions are functionally identical apart from the update mechanism and license verification. The website version still updates itself whereas the App Store version is updated via the App Store application. Furthermore the App Store version is dependent on Apple’s approval schedule.

I already own News Anchor, how can I migrate my purchase to the Mac App Store?

Currently Apple does not provide any way to migrate purchases to the Mac App Store. For existing customers, News Anchor will continue to receive regular updates outside App Store’s mechanism.

Do you offer refunds in case I find News Anchor unsuitable?

Yes, please contact us within 14 days of purchase to get your money back. Be sure to include your Order ID and tell us why you want a refund. The refund policy is valid only for purchases from this website — refunds are not available for purchases from the Mac App Store.
